Location

The region has excellent topographical features and benefits from a high level of solar radiation, which enables an annual energy production of around 1300 kWh per kWp.

Romania

Our projects in Jamu Mare have two potential grid connection points: one in the north, which enables connection to central transmission grids for national and cross-border integration, and one in the south, which is connected to high-capacity infrastructure for efficient energy distribution and export. This flexibility improves grid stability and is in line with Romania’s energy strategy for 2030.

Photovoltaic systems bring not only ecological, but also social and economic benefits. Numerous new jobs are created during the development and operating phase. These projects offer a wide range of employment opportunities, from planning and installation to maintenance and servicing to managing the systems and selling the electricity.

Particularly in the rural Banat region, they make a significant contribution to the local economy and offer new prospects for skilled workers and job seekers. Ground-mounted systems in Romania enable the country to diversify its energy production more independently and reduce its dependence on energy imports. This strengthens national energy self-sufficiency and contributes to the security of energy supply, especially in times of global energy crises.

Thanks to the significantly higher level of constant solar radiation compared to Northern Europe, photovoltaics is a stable and reliable source of renewable energy.

Investments in renewable energies are positioning Romania as a pioneer in sustainable energy production in south-eastern Europe. The growing infrastructure in the field of photovoltaics not only offers advantages for the domestic energy supply, but also potential for exporting surplus energy to neighboring countries.

Romania is thus developing into an important player on the European energy market and strengthening its position in international competition. The construction of ground-mounted photovoltaic systems is a clear sign that Romania is moving towards a sustainable future.
